Waiting on a Friend
Yesterday was one of those leave the house at 7 am and not return until 10 pm kind of days. At one point during the day I was a little early for an appointment, right up the street is a tiny marina with some old rotting boats lining the edge of the water...plopped myself down on the somewhat muddy bank and did this quick sketch. Point of note: I finally used that moleskine sketchbook I stuck in my car a year ago...had to dig under the seat to find the pencil! Approx 8x10

Very nice. I really like it. Doesn't look like a quick sketch to me.
You're so good to admit it was under the seat. I had a similar experience with my moleskin. It took awhile to violate it's pristine pages. Now I use them all the time. It's fun to find your blog by way of a link from Katherine Tyrell. I used to comment with you on Wet Canvas. I'm so happy to read you quit your job to paint. Happy painting!

Thankyou for your comments ladies.
Jeanne....obsession with speed has always been a part of my creative experience. This took about 15 minutes. Laraine it's always nice to see Wet Canvas folk here in the blog-o-sphere. I still post there, but not as much. Katherine has a post about this, interesting.
