I thought the squirrels were tearing down a lot of Oak branches until Tropical Depression Ernesto completely covered my yard with fresh fallen oak. While spending most of the day raking and cleaning up I noticed lots of green acorns....here is a 4x6 study in oil.

I was thinking of you when I picked up these acorns today. You said they aren't too easy to paint..and you were right:)...a worthy challenge.
I'm pleased that you like the leaves and shell, it's my personal favorite out of the series.
