I've painted on the side all my life. Following a back injury, I started painting full time in 2004. My first body of work was the trompe L'oeil series "Scatter Paintings". At the same time I became a Daily Painter in the blogoshpere. In 2007 I made an about turn to plein air work and Landscape painting...a subject and style that still keeps me captivated. In 2020 I developed an allergy to oils and began transitioning to water based media. This internet diary keeps track of my progress. Unless noted, all the paintings posted on this blog are for Sale. You can contact me at CLAW4JC@aol.com for pricing and billing information.

Chuck, your lost and found edges, composition and negative space is great. A real hit.

Love the composition of this one! Your eye just keeps going around and around. It's almost musical!
Yep, this one's a winner. I'm with Paul, it's a cool composition.
Thanks folks!
..you made my day with your reaction Paul, I often think of musical connotations when composing these type of paintings!
