Gates 02-27-05

One year ago today..Here I am hamming it up at Christo's Gate's in Central Park. It was a beautiful day and I found the whole experience far more delighful then I ever anticipated. Painting is my true love, but I do believe creative expression is infinite. Christo's Gates was an experience for everyone, wether they thought of it as Art or not. As you can see by my outfit I was really into it.

Don't Fall In...First Place Winner

..Well I took First Place in a local juried show today with this painting. This really isn't one of my favorites although friends and family love it.It's done from a photo that I took of a local dock last spring. To me there's just something flat about it that only I seem to notice...a byproduct from working exclusively from a photograph I think. Still it's great to take a prize for my first juried show of the year!!!

Bones from the Surf

Here is a larger piece just started. These are bones I picked up on the beach when I lived on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I added the spectacles as my own personal reference to time and aging. I started using them to see and paint last year.
